The Queen’s House is a masterpiece of seventeenth-century architecture, located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Greenwich. The striking beauty of this former Royal residence is the perfect space for events and weddings, with spectacular views over the River Thames, Greenwich Royal Park and Canary Wharf.
We were delighted to join the wedding team at the Queen’s House in Greenwich for their RMG Winter Wedding Showcase at the beginning of November. We helped welcome guests to experience the delights of the Queen’s House as the perfect wedding venue, with a specific focus on Winter Weddings.
The Queen’s House is an elegant avant-garde building, that retains many of its original stylish features, including soaring ceilings and original black and white marble flooring. This worked as the perfect back drop to highlight a beautiful palette of deep burgundy to contrast and offset the crisp light of Winter.
A relatively quiet time of the year, winter weddings offer plenty of promise. During this truly special season we can create an enchanting atmosphere with the use of colour, florals and styling. Beautifully decorating the central table in the Great Hall, we proposed three different set ups to showcase a range of equipment and suppliers.
Collaborating with florist Peppermint and Poppy, we used unusual shades of icy blues and greys mixed with neutrals and subtle blush tones to bond with the surroundings seamlessly. The added touch of rich plum and burgundy flowers, amongst seasonal Autumn/Winter foliage including eucalyptus and seasonal berries, created a picture-perfect palette for the colder months.
We treated guests to some delicious desserts and a selection of Winter wonders, giving a real taste of what we can do, not only at Queen’s House but at the four other venues too.
