Part of the £15million Royal Observatory redevelopment and restoration project by architects Allies & Morrison, the Peter Harrison Planetarium was designed to be both discreet and enticing. The Royal Observatory and architects won a prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) award for the Peter Harrison Planetarium. RIBA Awards are given for buildings that have high architectural standards.
